If we need to address healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there’s no better way to start than providing an education to children in need. Education not only empowers children to earn a livelihood but also help them grow up as responsible national and global citizens. Right to Education, Learning, and Development (emotional, physical and mental) are fundamental human rights of all children below the age of 18 years as per the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). But millions of children are deprived of these basic rights for several reasons including conflict, natural calamities, ethnicity, disability, and above all poverty. The Ideal Edification came into being in 2023 with its flagship programme Mission Education and has since been working with the objective of empowering underprivileged children by providing education, nutrition, and healthcare support. The Mission Education programme caters to Preschool (3-6 years old), Formal Education (6-18 years school going children), Bridge Course Education (6-18 years old not going to school), and Remedial Education (6-18 years school going children). A four-pronged holistic approach is followed, with focus on children, teachers, learning environment and community engagement. The target are underprivileged children living in difficult circumstances, children forced to work as labourers, children of the poorest of the poor parents, differently abled children, abandoned and street children, disaster-struck children and children living in tribal belts, remote villages and hard to reach areas. As a logical extension to the Mission Education programme, TIEs scholarship and vocational training programme has evolved over the years to facilitate easy transition from learning to earning and giving less privileged children equal opportunities to pursue higher education, professional courses and technical careers.
